PRICE FREEZE

Here at HeathDENTAL, we are fully aware of our patients’ financial concerns with falling incomes and increased expenditure. As a result we are committed to helping them by promising that our independent prices will remain frozen at the level of December 2010 and will continue to remain at this level for a minimum of 6 months.

Indeed we have implemented new changes in line with current cross infection guidelines and Care Quality Commission regulations. All team members now have brand new uniforms to ensure the utmost health and safety for our patients.

We are currently having an independent audit performed to measure our services to our patients thus ensuring that not only do we comply with regulations, but are in fact ahead of them and the competition, thereby continuing to be awarded with such accolades as the British Dental Association good Practice Scheme.

We are fully committed to ensuring that our patients have the best prepared, safest dental practice in which to receive their care. All this will require a significant investment of funds in these difficult times but we will not be passing these on to our patients. In fact we have substantially reduced the fees of some our most popular services, including tooth whitening.

We have invested heavily in 21st century technology, in particular the very latest in dental laser technology which has revolutionised modern dentistry. Our laser dentistry allows us to provide a range of pain free, minimally invasive dental treatments. Heath Dental is one of a very limited number of practices in the UK that offers this unique service.

No drill, no needles and no numbness this new technology is very popular with our patients in particular our nervous patients. It means that when dental treatment is needed, there is no pain and healing is very quick, allowing patents to continue with their everyday lives as soon as they leave the practice.

Kissing your way to a healthier mouth

Today, dentistry.co.uk posted a very interesting piece of news that I think we all will find very enlightening.

According to research, kissing can prevent tooth decay because it stimulates the flow of saliva in your mouth that helps to remove food particles that can cause cavities. It also contributes towards bringing down plaque levels.

However, beware, that kissing can also transmit bacteria from one person to the next and they can cause diseases as well as viruses through oral cavity.

Oral Hygiene

Hence, we would still recommend having a good level of oral hygiene via regular brushing and flossing. There’s nothing worse than kissing somebody who has bad breath and stained teeth.

Laser Dentistry at Heath Dental

We at Heath Dental have invested significantly in cutting edge technology by incorporating a Waterlase laser into the practice, to enhance our patient’s care. There are many advantages of lasers including the following:

Proven Technology, Comfortable Care

Lasers have long been the standard of care in medicine for many surgical and cosmetic procedures such as LASIK, wrinkle removal, hair removal and many others. The Waterlase® was approved for hard tissue procedures in 1998 and since has been cleared for numerous additional dental procedures. Thousands of dentists around the world have performed millions of procedures with less need for shots, anesthesia, drills and post-op numb lips.

Patient Comfort

Heat, vibration and pressure are the primary causes of pain associated with the use of the traditional dental drill. Since cutting both hard and soft tissues (teeth and gums) with the Waterlase® does not generate heat, vibration or pressure, many dental procedures can be performed with fewer shots, less need for anesthesia, less use of the drill and fewer numb lips! Additionally, using the Waterlase® for gum procedures reduces bleeding, post-operative pain, swelling and the need for pain medication in many cases.

Accuracy & Precision

Waterlase® dentists are able to remove tooth enamel decay (the hardest substance in the body), bone and gum tissue precisely while leaving surrounding areas unaffected. This conserves and allows you to keep more of the healthy tooth structure.

Reduced Trauma

High speed drills can cause hairline cracks and fractures in the teeth that eventually lead to future dental problems. Waterlase® reduces damage to healthy portions of the tooth and minimizes trauma.

Improved Cavity Fillings

Waterlase® cavity preparations can increase bond strength of tooth-coloured restorations resulting in longer lasting fillings.

Less Bleeding & Swelling

Due to its conservative, gentle cutting action and coagulating capabilities, the Waterlase® performs many soft tissue (gum) procedures with little or no bleeding and less post-op swelling.

Fewer Dental Visits

Since you often do not need shots or anesthesia, a Waterlase® dentist can perform cavity preps in all areas of the mouth in just one visit. This technology also gives trained Waterlase® dentists the ability to perform many procedures that were previously referred to specialists.

Versatility

The Waterlase® is extremely versatile. It can be used for a wide range of hard and soft tissue procedures. From decay removal, cavity preparation, root canals, smile design, gum and bone surgical procedures and many others.
